Skills Anticipation and it’s use in Agrifood Sector
As a key initiative of the SMART LABOR project, CREDI hosted a focused workshop on skills foresight in the agri-food sector. This closed event was held online on October 23, 2024, and brought together experts to discuss the future skill needs of the agri-food workforce.
IMPETUS participated as part of the Consortia, contributing towards the knowledge and skills framework on a national level.
The agri-food sector is undergoing significant transformations due to technological advancements, climate change, and shifting consumer demands. This workshop, organized as part of the SMARTLABOR project, aims to address the skill gaps in the agri-food sector, particularly focusing on the Western Balkans region.
The agenda will include comprehensive sessions on:
- Introduction to Skills Foresight in the Agri-Food Sector
- Methodology for Skills Foresight and Major Trends
- Data Collection and Analysis Techniques
- Scenario Building and Creating Action Plans for Future Skills
The event was led by Nermin Oruč and Ilma Kurtović from CREDI and fostered discussions among key stakeholders in policy, education, and business.
This workshop concluded with actionable recommendations for aligning educational programs and labor market policies to address future workforce challenges in the agri-food sector.
This event is part of the broader “SMART LABOR” project, supported by the “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans” initiative, with funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
